- Catherine Killough Advocacy and Leadership Coordinator @Women Cross DMZ
Catherine Killough is the Advocacy and Leadership Coordinator at Women Cross DMZ, a global movement led by women mobilizing for peace on the Korean Peninsula and an end to the Korean War. Previously, she was the Roger L. Hale fellow at Ploughshares Fund, the largest US philanthropic organization focused on reducing and eliminating nuclear weapons.
- Jovanni Reyes Member Coordinator @About Face: Veterans Against War
Jovanni Reyes enlisted in the United States Army in 1993 and deployed to the Balkans in 1996 as part of NATO’s first ever military intervention, which culminated in the dismemberment of Yugoslavia into six statelets. He was in South Korea from 2003 to 2005 as a senior enlisted medic for the 3rd Military Intelligence Battalion, 501st Military Intelligence Brigade, Camp Humphreys, South Korea and participated in the US-ROK combined military exercises. He resigned from the military in 2007 and began to work for peace. He holds a Masters in International Relations with a focus on Global Studies.
- Wooksik Cheong Director @Peace Network
Wooksik Cheong is the founder and director of Peace Network, a South Korean research NGO founded in 1999 for peace on the Korean Peninsula. He serves on the advisory boards of the South Korean Ministry of Unification, and the Foreign Affairs and Unification Committee of the National Assembly. He has served on President Roh Moo-hyun’s transition team. He was also the chair of the Steering Committee of Civil Peace Forum, and a member of the Inter-Korean Cooperation Committee of Seoul City. He is the author of several books, including “The Path for the Korean Peninsula: Why a Nuclear-Weapons-Free-Zone?” (2020), “The End of Denuclearization” (2018), “All about THAAD” (2017), and “Which Way for the 21st Century ROK-US Alliance?” (2008).
